SPECULATIONS: Guess to Impress
I’m host Chris and here’s how the pod works.
SHORT: Imagine you have to explain a topic you don’t really know about. You get 5 minutes to draft notes. You and a partner try and explain the thing you don’t know about so that others may understand. Get critiqued by an expert—stand corrected. Leave smarter.
LONG: Me and a guest are given a prompt—challenged to explain a thing we don’t know much about. We have 5 minutes to prepare statements or observations—trying to identify something that’s true about our prompt. No research, only hand-written notes. 5 minutes is up.
We hit record and educatedly guess for ~10 min, building on each other’s ideas, our humbling realizations, our lucky guesses. A true expert then critiques our speculations, sets the record straight, and drops learning links in the episode notes.
